Uterine and Tubal Factor
In hysterosalpingography test procedure, a radiopaque dye is injected into the uterus and x-rays are taken to view the shape and the size of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes, also detects whether the tubes are open or closed.
Diagnostic Hysteroscopy (Dx Hyst):This diagnostic procedure uses to look inside the uterine cavity, to see the deformities or tumors distorting the cavity, to visualize the corners of the uterus to see if the openings into the tubes are normal or not. This is day care procedure.
When the fallopian tubes prevent the sperms from reaching to the ovary to fertilize the eggs or prevent a fertilized embryo from reaching the uterus then tubal factor infertility occurs. The fallopian tubes present on either side of the uterus are connected to the ovaries to the uterus.
An ovary delivered an egg into the fallopian tube where the egg meets with a sperm that helps to fertilize the egg. It happens in normal pregnancy. Then the fertilized egg goes to the uterus and attaches with the uterine lining for long nine months.
If the fallopian tube is damaged or blocked for some reasons, then sperm and an egg cannot meet with each other and then cause infertility problem. Maybe the blockage allows the sperm, but it can’t allow the embryo to get int the uterus.

There are a number of ways to repair a tube. Like:
Tubal cannulation, it is characterized by inserting a catheter, which is guided by a wire and attached with a balloon into the fallopian tubes to unblock them. this procedure is an outpatient option. If a tubal Factor Infertility Testing shows a blockage in one or both fallopian tubes, tubal cannulation can only be done.
Another way is Fimbrioplasty, it is a laparoscopic procedure, which rebuilds the fimbriae or the ends of the fallopian tube by sewing the fimbriae. The patients who have a minimal tubal blockage, this procedure is a good option.
Next way is Salpingectomy, it refers to the removal of the fallopian tubes, which are damaged or diseased. This Tubal Factor Infertility Treatment refers to the creation of an opening into the fallopian tube to remove an ectopic pregnancy. But in this procedure, the tube itself is not removed.
